Extended Family Scrapbook

William Keith Schansema (Billy to friends or Willie Wonka sometimes to his wife Noreen) peacefully entered the woodlands beyond the reaches of the earth bound, on September 20, 2020. Bill is survived by his wife Noreen (Weenie to Bill), his late sister's husband Ollie Ebeling (sister Bonnie) and a large extended family including William Schansema (wife Sue), Ron Schansema (wife Virginia), Colleen Lenihan (partner John Menthen), and David Allen by his first wife Janet; Dale Jansen (wife MaryAnne), Kirk Jansen (wife Mas), and Pam Jansen by Noreen's first marriage; Bob Bibby (wife Marlene) by Noreen's second marriage; and Bill and Noreen's very close friend and surrogate son, Brent Cadarette (wife Katie). Not listed are many grandkids and great grandkids! Bill was well known for his many interests and hobbies, from sailing the great lakes to the stone polishing business (B&N Stone Treasures) that he and Noreen shared. He was also an avid fisherman and hunter most of his life, but eventually gave up hunting to pursue fellowship with the wildlife that frequented their property in Charlevoix, near Fisherman's Island State Park. Deer, turkeys, and foxes visited the place and seemed to know Bill quite well. He was a strong supporter of American made products and would not hesitate to spend hundreds more if he could find things made in the USA. Bill was also a skilled woodworker and electrician, and built his first house with his dad.
